Some of Melbourne Water’s Development Services Schemes include stormwater quality treatment works. These are usually designed to treat all urban runoff to best practice standards. Developers in the scheme catchment pay the Stormwater Quality Charge as a contribution to these works. A developer (subdivider of land) can choose to construct treatment works within their development at their own cost and receive a reduction in the Stormwater Quality charge. For more information refer to Melbourne Water’s Land Development Manual.
