Our 2015 Clearwater survey revealed that even several months after attending a Clearwater activity:
"Water Sensitive Urban Design is often described more as a journey than a destination. When I think about the WSUD story in Melbourne, my thoughts turn to the 1000s of people who've been inspired, informed and trained by Clearwater. The City of Melbourne wouldn't be the "world-famous WSUD city" it is today without the many champions who've been "created" at least in part of Clearwater and its trainers. Clearwater brings more than professionalism... it brings passion, dedication and a sense of vision for Melbourne's future."
Tim Fletcher - Professor of Urban Ecohydrology, The University of Melbourne
"I would like to thank Clearwater for all their hard work in putting together and presenting the Maintenance of Street-scale WSUD Assets in-house council training. It was an excellent training course, pitched at exactly the correct level with the appropriate mix of theory and practicality. Everyone I"ve spoken to enjoyed the day and thought that they gained something out of attending. This training will make a huge difference to the team here at Moreland as part of our WSUD journey."
Vaughn Grey - Utility Management & Water Engineer, Moreland Council
"Clearwater is an important bridging organisation that disseminates the latest stormwater research out to industry and helps us understand the needs and issues of local government. As we work towards the vision of water sensitive cities, this collaboration and knowledge sharing is vitally important."
Rob Catchlove - Environmental Consultant, Alluvium Consulting
"I was really pleased with the WSUD training session that Clearwater's Regional Stormwater Policy Advisor presented. I was also thankful for the follow up email and all the extra information provided. I got some really good feedback internally from those on the course and managers who sent them. I am keen to investigate further training with Clearwater."
Lester Wharfe - Natural Resource Planner, East Gippsland Shire Council
"Clearwater provides the connect between regional councils and our metro cousins - the networking to share ideas, participate in tours, training and information as we all have similar issues. Regional councils often feel isolated and "left out"- they feel that everything revolves around Melbourne. Clearwater enables those barriers to be broken down and an open and honest conversation to begin."
Anne Miller - Water Management Officer, City of Greater Geelong
