Maintenance Note – To ensure that the WSUD asset is designed and constructed as part of the residential subdivision is maintained we recommend the following:
- Council Asset - If the WSUD asset is to be adopted by Council, the asset should be listed on Council’s asset register for ongoing maintenance after agreed handover period. Ensure all easements or reserves in favour of Council have been created.
- On private property - If WSUD asset is on private property, considering entering into a Section 173 Agreement (Planning and Environment Act 1987) to have the asset registered on the property’s title. Consider whether an Owners Corporation Agreement is required to ensure the ongoing maintenance of the asset.
- Clause 56.08 Onsite Management Plan - ensure the onsite management plan in line with Clause 56.08 has been submitted and agreed.
