These guidelines aim to provide simple and practical ideas to reduce the chance of polluting the stormwater system and help contractors comply with Council and State regulations.
These guidelines were written for rural councils within the Murray River catchment, rather than Port Phillip Bay. The guidelines are aimed at builders, landscape gardeners, demolition workers, trades people, home renovators and people who supply sand, soil and concrete. It provides a good example to other regional and rural Victorian councils in terms of communicating how sediment can be better managed during construction periods.
