ArrayWater Sensitive Designs Booklet

The Water Sensitive Designs Booklet provides small improvements, new ideas, concepts and sketch designs for stormwater filtration systems. It was released by Healthy Waterways as a follow up to the recently updated Bioretention Technical Design Guidelines. This booklet contains ideas discussed during the update of these Guidelines.
The objectives include
- Protecting and enhancing waterways through focus on imporved infiltration, flow management, water quality and habitat
- Enhanced landscape amenity through focus on visual impact, sense of place and community interest
- Maximising benefits to the community for microclimate, stormwater reuse, safety and passive recreation
- Effectively managing capital and lifecycle costs through being space and resource efficient, using materials sustaianbly and designing of efficient manitnenance
