Dear Clearwater Newsletter Subscriber, Welcome to Clearwater’s Winter newsletter! Following last year’s Clearwater program strategic review and associated market analysis, key findings from this piece of work have been prioritised and some projects actioned. Two key projects are currently underway that focus on building inter and intra-organisational capacity: - Research and analysis of inter-organisational capacity building - undertaken in partnership with Andre Taylor with assistance from international experts - this project explores initiatives and priority areas (more information coming soon)
- Clearwater/Melbourne Water Living Rivers capacity building partnership program.
The Clearwater/Melbourne Water Living Rivers partnership program, a perfect example of both inter and intra-organisational capacity building. While the focus of the pilot project is increasing local Council IWM capacity, outcomes and learnings will be useful to the wider industry. There is also a short survey as part of this project encouraging your thoughts on knowledge brokering topics and methodologies. Don’t miss our next Water Drinks Event this Thursday 28 July to kill the winter blues! These informal networking evenings provide an ideal setting to share, connect and learn with industry colleagues. This Thursday, learnings will be of particular interest to you in the networking space. We are also taking registrations for the Introduction to WSUD principles and technologies course and the Knox Integrated Water Management Technical Tour. There are also a number of opportunities to provide feedback on various strategies and tools including new flood mapping and management tools being developed by Melbourne Water for the Port Phillip and Westernport Region. Finally, applications for fully funded scholarships are now available for the 2016/17 Water Leadership Program run by the International Water Centre.
