Water Services Association of Australia (WSAA) have released their annual urban water update titled Drought, Growth and Liveability 2019
The report discusses the devastating impact the drought is having on regional communities however the focus is on how urban water agencies and retailers are embedding resilience and security in water supplies. Case studies outline the different strategies major cities are using to approach supply diversification and community education. Additional case studies explore the financial quantification of the health, liveability and environmental benefits. The report proposes next steps and puts out the call for a new urban water national initiative.
