Clearwater and the International WaterCentre (IWC) are partnering to offer two scholarships for Victorian applicants; one full scholarship for emerging Indigenous water leaders, and one half scholarship for emerging water leaders from metropolitan Melbourne to participate in the next intake of the IWC Water Leadership Program.
This award-winning professional development program helps emerging leaders develop the abilities they need to influence, drive change and advance integrated water management projects.
Designed for emerging water leaders at the project-to-middle management level, this 9 month program is customised for the water sector through sound research and collaboration with experienced industry practitioners and will assist organisations to deliver Water for Victoria.
Clearwater is providing two scholarships for Victorian applicants - one full scholarship for emerging Indigenous water leaders (valued at $12,500), and one half scholarship for emerging water leaders from metropolitan Melbourne (valued at $6,250) working for a local government, water authority or catchment management authority.
Further details are available in the program brochure, and applications can be submitted via the IWC website.
We are looking for emerging water leaders that are committed to their professional development and advancing IWM in Victoria. To support the adoption of IWM across Victoria, one full scholarship is reserved for an Indigenous Australian working for a local government, water authority or catchment management authority anywhere in Victoria, and the half scholarship is reserved for emerging water leaders working for a local government, water authority or catchment management authority in metropolitan Melbourne.
“The IWC water leadership program gave me the resources and time to strengthen my self-leadership capability. The highly credentialed presenters, coaches, material, and interaction with water industry peers offered in the course allowed me to transfer these learnings to influence decision makers and improve water management outcomes in a Victorian peri-urban local government organisation.” - Andrew Stanton, Corporate Planner, Baw Baw Shire Council
Applications for the Clearwater scholarship need to be submitted via the IWC website by 30 September 2019.
