Clearwater and the International WaterCentre (IWC) are partnering to offer three full scholarships for Regional applicants, one full scholarship for Metro applicants, and two half scholarships to Victorian applicants to participate in the next intake of the IWC Water Leadership Program.
Funding for these scholarships is provided by Melbourne Water and the Victorian Department for Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) as part of Clearwater's partnership project - Building Capacity for Integrated Water Management in Victoria.
This award-winning professional development program helps emerging leaders develop the abilities they need to influence, drive change and advance integrated water management projects.
Designed for emerging water leaders at the project-to-middle management level, this 9 month program is customised for the water sector through sound research and collaboration with experienced industry practitioners and will assist organisations to deliver Water for Victoria.
Clearwater is providing three full scholarships for Regional applicants and one full scholarship for Metro applicants (each valued at $11,500), and two half scholarships for Victorian applicants (each valued at $5,750) to emerging water leaders working for a local government, water authority or catchment management authority.
Further details are available on the program brochure, and applications can be submitted on the IWC website.
We are looking for emerging water leaders that are committed to their professional development and advancing IWM in Victoria. To support the adoption of IWM across Victoria, one full scholarship is reserved for those working in Metro Melbourne, and three full scholarships are reserved for those working in Regional Victoria, with each of the half scholarships offered Victoria-wide.
All scholarships are reserved for those working for a local government, water authority or catchment management authority.
"The IWC Water Leadership Program was the most beneficial program that I have undertaken. The program offered a strong platform of leadership theory, real life water leadership case studies, a suite of leadership tools that genuinely worked, and a people experience that encouraged learning from water industry experts and peers within the program. I was able to leverage from this suite of offerings to develop a leadership plan and quickly put effective leadership actions into practice."
John Frdelja, Central Highlands Water
2017/18 Water Leadership Program participant and full scholarship recipient
Applications for the Clearwater scholarship need to be submitted via the IWC website by 30 September 2018.
