The State Government has just released the Victorian Budget committing $50M over the next four years to implement the outcomes of the 'Living Melbourne, Living Victoria' road map. Another $1M has been allocated over two years to develop a feasibility study for ‘Living Ballarat’.
The ‘Living Melbourne, Living Victoria’road map identifies eight priority areas for urban water reform with a shift towards integrated water cycle management, and the delivery of more resilient and adaptable water systems for Melbourne and Victoria's other cities and towns.
A one-off flood recovery grant of more than $12M has also been allocated to help with flood recovery activities.
