National Water Commission to cease operations

The National Water Commission is responsible for driving national water reform under the National Water Initiative. The 2014-15 Budget announcement confirmed the Australian Government’s decision to close National Water Commission at the end of this year. Some of the National Water Commission’s core functions will transfer to other agencies. The Commission will release more information on the future of its water reform responsibilities as soon as possible.
