Living Rivers funded film competition sends healthy waterways message to the community

Short films promoting healthy waterways were shown at Harmony Square in Dandenong last month.

The Healthy Waterways film Competition was an initiative of the City of Greater Dandenong and was funded by a Living Rivers grant from Melbourne Water.

City of Greater Dandenong invited community members, aged between 5 and 25, to create a short clip promoting community support and awareness for keeping our waterways clean, healthy and litter free.

Ten of the top selected films were screened on Friday, 25 August at 6pm.

The winning clip, by Jeannie Psomoulis, gave a stark but quirky depiction of what happens when rubbish goes astray.
