The CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency, is currently undertaking a study on the physical condition of rainwater tanks. As part of this, the CSIRO are undertaking free assessments of rainwater tanks in Melbourne. We hope that you would like to participate in this study.

The assessment involves answering a 10-15 minute survey, a trained CSIRO personnel will take 20-30 minutes to assess your tank, at the end of which, you will receive a complimentary report on its physical condition. As a token of our appreciation, if you participate in our study we will offer you a $20 gift voucher!*

The study is co-funded by the Smart Water Fund and the information from the study will be used by water planners in Melbourne to help estimate water savings and environmental benefits from rainwater tanks and will also help identify public health risks.

Participants will not be identifiable in any reports or datasets produced from the research. We will provide reports and datasets as results of the survey to the Smart Water Fund for further dissemination to their stakeholders.
