City of Whittlesea's Integrated Water Management Guidelines v1.1

City of Whittlesea

The City of Whittlesea have released their first Integrated Water Management Guidelines. These have been compiled for the development industry, following extensive internal and external consultation and drawing on modelling work, case studies and best practice. The guidelines document is available here, and is part of the Neighbourhood Design Manual.

The guidelines provide detail of Council’s preferred water management outcomes, and guidance on design to achieve these outcomes, aiming for enhanced standards for asset design and construction. Whittlesea includes a very large urban growth corridor and this resource will support best practice water management outcomes as the area develops.

This resource is designed specifically for the City of Whittlesea region so the adoption standards and asset design preferences are tailored to Whittlesea's operating environment. The document provides many resources, insights and processes that can be applied to or adapted for use in other areas of Melbourne.

This document is version 1.1, and will continue to be updated over time.
