Clearwater and Stormwater Victoria are excited to present our second co-delivery for 2015.
Effective management of WSUD assets is complex and multi-faceted. It involves organisational commitment, technical know-how, effective processes and ongoing engagement. While as an industry we are making good progress, we need to acknowledge that we will continue to work in a complex environment which can seem baffling at times. It is therefore important we use the appropriate tools and techniques in our problem solving approach. Identifying and addressing the ‘root cause’ ensures you are investing in the right solution and creating better outcomes.
This interactive workshop will focus on problem definition, a critical first step when approaching a problem. Facilitated by our problem solving expert Dougal Edwards from the Hargraves Institute, we will explore and unpack the key challenges in WSUD Asset Management faced by the industry to gain insight into how we can best move forward.
A discussion paper will be developed and distributed as part of this session and used to inform the review and design of industry resources and tools on WSUD Asset Management.
This workshop is targeted towards council staff involved in planning and managing of WSUD assets such as asset managers, maintenance and construction coordinators/supervisors, engineers and urban planners, sustainability and WSUD officers. We recommend a cross section of 2-3 people from each organisation to enable a richer learning environment and discussion session.
