This workshop is part of the Clearwater / Melbourne Water Living Rivers Partnership.
The next round of Melbourne Water’s Living Rivers funding program will open in early September and close on 5 October with over $4 million available for the 2016/17 and 2017/18 financial years. To get ideas and collaboration flowing for your next funding application you are invited to a grant pre-application project scoping workshop at Melbourne Water.
The workshop will follow an informal World Café style where ideas are bounced between participants and themed discussion stations. You are invited to travel between stations as you please to gather, share, discuss and test project ideas in collaboration with other councils. This will be a great opportunity to talk to your peers and the Living Rivers Coordinators about your ideas and previous successes. Representatives from Water Retail companies will also be present.
The event will be followed by (optional) informal networking drinks at a nearby venue.
The Living Rivers program offers councils funding, expertise and guidance to build understanding, skills and commitment for managing stormwater within an integrated water management approach. The program focusses on improved stormwater management for waterway health and funds strategic, process improvement, community engagement, policy, capital works projects and more.
Funding is open to the 38 councils Melbourne Water works with across the Port Phillip and Western Port region. Collaboration projects involving multiple councils, water retailers, developers or other partners are encouraged.
