Join Clearwater and Heath Baker, Melbourne Water Senior Planning Engineer, on a hald day tour through Old Joes Creek in the Dandenong Catchment, to learn about a new industrial area stormwater pollution monitoring project.
The project is currently being conducted in a partnership between Melbourne Water, EPA, South East Water, Knox City Council and CAPIM (Centre for Aquatic Pollution Identification and Management). The objective is to improve stream quality within Dandenong Creek by preventing illegal discharges from industrial land areas. This industrial area has been targeted for monitoring due to the high level of industrial contamination in the form of metals, pesticides, hydrocarbons and surfactants.

Suitable for local government staff involved in environmental planning & environmental health, catchment planning, design engineering, litter & pollution investigation and operations. We especially encourage attendance of local government staff who have an area / catchment that this type monitoring would be applicable to
Course completion will contribute CPD points to programs with the following organisations: Nursery and Garden Industry Association (NGIA), Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA), Engineers Australia (EA) and Planning Institute of Australia (PIA).
